Caroline has her Level 3 Forest Schools Certification from the UK and training in trauma-informed education and has trained the staff in Fort Collins.
This program immerses students in nature, where they learn essential skills such as using various tools, fire building, cooking over an open fire, and prioritizing safety. Designed to foster independence, teamwork, and a deep connection with the outdoors, our curriculum promotes resilience and connection through hands-on exploration and creative play.

LIFE SKILLS
Our comprehensive Life Skills class includes essential training in personal development, social interaction, financial independence, executive functioning, and sex & sexuality education. This dynamic program equips students from all grade levels with the skills needed to thrive academically, personally, and socially. The curriculum evolves as students progress from primary grades to high school, ensuring that lessons remain relevant and age-appropriate.
This unique class integrates four key areas:
Life Skills: Students build essential interpersonal and practical skills that support personal growth, self-advocacy, and social interaction.
Financial Literacy: Students gain the knowledge and confidence needed to navigate adulthood's financial challenges, including budgeting, saving, investing, credit management, and taxes.
Executive Functioning: Students develop strategies to enhance organization, time management, goal setting, and problem-solving, empowering them to succeed in both academic and personal settings.
Sex and Sexuality Education: Students receive accurate, inclusive, and age-appropriate education about human sexuality, relationships, consent, and personal safety.
Through interactive lessons, real-life simulations, and hands-on exercises, students are empowered to make informed decisions, build independence, and achieve long-term success.
GAMED-BASED LEARNING
Our Game-Based Learning Program leverages the educational power of play to develop critical thinking, collaboration, and academic skills across all grade levels. By integrating both tabletop games and physical activities, our program creates an engaging, interactive learning environment that resonates with students of all ages.
Students participate in a diverse range of games, including:
Role-Playing Games: Games like Dungeons and Dragons encourage storytelling, teamwork, and problem-solving.
Strategy Games: Classic and modern strategy games, such as chess and other tactical board games, build logical thinking, foresight, and strategic planning.
Physical Games and Sports: Activities such as team sports and yard games foster physical coordination, teamwork, and social interaction while reinforcing problem-solving and strategic thinking.
By blending play with educational objectives, our program fosters a deeper understanding of concepts, builds social skills, and nurtures creativity. Game-Based Learning not only makes education enjoyable but also prepares students for real-world challenges through interactive, hands-on experiences.
Our classroom culture is founded on the principles of respect, inclusivity, and collaboration. Teachers encourage students to view challenges as opportunities for growth and learning. This positive and supportive atmosphere enables students to express themselves freely, share their unique perspectives, and appreciate the diverse abilities and contributions of their peers.
Small class sizes (12 students max) allow for teachers to tailor instruction to the individual learning styles, interests, and needs of each student, while also facilitating a deeper understanding of each student's academic progress, emotional well-being, and social development.
